Being Open To Receive

The first six months of 2024 were very interesting for me. I say this in neither a good or bad way. Upon taking the risk to not continue studying, I found myself in a situation in which finding a job was one of my very few options. Being the ambitious person that I am, my mind quickly latched itself onto numerous things. Where do I apply? How do I apply? Am I qualified enough? Was not furthering my education a mistake?…You know how the story goes once university is done.

As I write this now, I’m very grateful to express that on the 1st of July, I’m joining an AI firm and starting work as a Business Development Associate. The process to get to this reality has come with many observations, lessons, challenges, and triumphs, all which have morphed me into the person that I am in the present day.

One thing that I’ve observed over the recent months is that when we take on life, due to fear and uncertainty, anxiety presents itself in almost everything that we do. We worry about specific outcomes, and we put unnecessary pressure on ourselves to do things that we think are needed in order to thrive, not realising that forced situations lead to outcomes that don’t align with what we want.

Attracting opportunities is done effectively when we're open to actually receiving them…To many, that may sound kind of dumb, but that’s how the game goes. When we aimlessly do things without intention or purpose, and instead do them from a place of lack, we are essentially saying that we want all the things we want because we can’t live without them. So you apply to that job without even knowing what it is, why you are applying for it, and why you want it. By doing this, life becomes very stagnant because the one thing that allows us as humans to progress, is not in the equation…Intention. Energy goes where intention flows.

I did this at the beginning of the year. Applying aimlessly, not even thinking about what I wanted to do, just doing it because I was scared and needed to find work. Things drastically changed when I started setting my intentions, and letting them manifest accordingly. Whether that was starting this blog, applying more intentionally, working on my CV, anything. When I stopped chasing, and started going with the flow, everything I desired literally came to me. It’s almost as if I was a magnet and the things I was wanting found their way to me.

This can be applied anywhere in life. We need to understand that desires are always achievable. Anything you want in life can be achieved, you just have to align yourself with the necessary actions to take, and take this action based off intention and not fear. Fear based actions result in our desires running away from us, intentional based actions result in our desires being attracted to us. When we move in life understanding that everything we desire is possible, there’s a sense of peace that presents itself. we almost allow these desires to manifest effortlessly because we're open to receiving them. Once I mastered that, my job literally found me.
